The word "journey" has been defined as a passage made between two places or a distance traveled. However, the word "journey" is used in many other ways. I often use the analogy of a journey in the context of playing a song or in putting together an arrangement of a song. That is, for me, a piece of music is only effective if it "goes somewhere" - or better yet, takes the listener somewhere. We often use the term "spiritual journey" to refer to our daily walk with the Lord and growth in our relationship with Him. As a worship leader and part of a worship team, it is my calling and privilege to lead fellow worshippers before the throne of God - yet another journey.

In putting together this album I have wanted to consider another very common use of the word "journey" - the journey of a traveler through life along the path God has laid out for him or her. This album is a collection of some of the songs that have been most meaningful to me along my journey to this point in my life and ministry.

There have been many times I've asked God why I wasn't gifted to sing. I've often felt the desire, even the need, to express what God has put in my heart in that way. Well, to put it simply, "maybe if I could have sung it, I wouldn't have had to play it." My prayer is that the Lord, through His Spirit, might touch your heart through this music - and that would have to be completely His doing! Godspeed as you continue your journey!
